The Beginnings
Russ and Lauri Daman were first introduced to the Amish Furniture business in 2002 by a friend currently in the business today. Instead of partnering and moving back to the hustle and bustle of city life, they decided to remain where they love to live and build a business of their own serving the South Texas area.
Embracing History & Culture
After Russ’ retirement from the Army as a Chief Warrant Officer Helicopter Pilot, Russ and Lauri started building their own Amish Furniture business in December, 2012. They started with internet, home, and show sales. In October 2015, Russ and Lauri were able to purchase the 1911 Wolters Brothers Building in downtown Shiner, Texas – home of the Shiner Beer Brewery. After seven months of renovation and restoration of the historic building, they opened their doors to the public on May 15, 2015.
The two-story building offers 10,000 square feet of showroom space. With the downstairs now open and the upstairs currently being renovated for more furniture showroom space..
